"CONVOY OF CARE" CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT  ___

Landon was inducted as an Honorary Firefighter, #1755, in 2014 to the Evington Volunteer Fire Department. Words cannot express the happiness that day brought him! He loved going down and being around everyone and sitting in the fire trucks. When he passed away the chief of the fire department met with us. He told us they wanted to honor Landon with a true firefighter funeral. The impact he had on other peoples lives was that extraordinary. Leaving the service we were led out behind fire trucks underneath two ladder trucks holding the American flag. "Convoy" was one of Landon's favorite movies and we truly had a convoy behind us leaving the church. At the end of the graveside service they did a "last call" over the airways. The EVFD was always there for us and Landon. We are forever grateful for them.

In 2018 the Evington Volunteer Fire Department held a cornhole tournament as a fundraiser for our family. Landon passed away before the event date but the tournament was still played. Friends and family came together to celebrate Landon's life! He had such a loving and giving heart that we are honored to host this annual event and continue helping children in our community who are experiencing childhood cancer. The Evington Volunteer Fire Dept. continues working with us and donating their time and station for this annual event.

Below you can meet the children we have the pleasure of honoring!!
